A Florida Nurse Registry is a state-licensed service that connects clients with qualified, trained, and carefully vetted caregivers to provide personalized in-home care.

Florida is a leader in the development and regulation of Nurse Registries, with comprehensive statutes and guidelines designed to ensure consumer protection and high-quality care. These regulations help Nurse Registries provide an affordable and reliable way for individuals to connect with safe, skilled, and experienced caregiver

A nurse registry is a licensed entity that provides in-home care services and holds the same rights and responsibilities in service delivery as a licensed home health agency. In Florida, both nurse registries and home health agencies are authorized to offer skilled and non-skilled services, including home health aide support.

* The difference is nurse registries utilize independent contractors and act as a referral service*

The frequency of visits will depend on your individual needs and the care plan developed by our team. We offer flexible scheduling options to ensure that you receive the care you need, when you need it.

There is a minimum of 3 hours

*HHA stands for Home Health Aide. These individuals receive training from accredited institutions in the essential skills needed to safely care for clients.

*CNA stands for Certified Nursing Assistant. Like HHAs, CNAs are trained in providing personal care, but they also hold a state-issued certification. This certification is especially relevant for state-funded programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.

In private care settings, HHAs and CNAs often perform similar duties and are commonly referred to as caregivers.

All caregivers referred by Meraki Home Health Solutions are independently employed professionals.

Companions, sometimes referred to as 'sitters,' provide support with basic, non-medical tasks in the home. However, they are not permitted to offer any hands-on assistance or physical contact with the individual under any circumstances.

The cost of our services will vary depending on the level of care required and the length of service. We work with most insurance providers to help cover the cost of care, and our team can also help you explore other options.

At this time, we are private pay only. However, we are in the process of working with insurance companies for credentialing and assignment of benefits

In-home care for the elderly is supervised by family, friends, guardians, etc. If a client has any issues we will take them very seriously and address them promptly as you see fit. We do not attempt to insinuate that we could possibly supervise your private caregiver in an effective manner while they are in your home without being there.

We are committed to referring only the most qualified and dependable caregivers. However, we understand that personal compatibility is important and occasionally issues may arise. Your satisfaction is our top priority—if you ever have concerns, simply contact our office and we will promptly work to find a caregiver better suited to your preferences and needs.
